Green initiatives are becoming more prevalent throughout our society . From February 1-3, 2011 GSMI will be holding the fourth installment of the Green Data Center Conference. This event will bring energy efficiency and performance issues to the forefront. Case studies and analysis will be presented by a wide variety of industry experts. Best practices, revolutionary equipment, management techniques and innovations in the data center environment will be offered and analyzed through a cost benefit lens. The event offers a unique educational atmosphere that lends to conversation, networking opportunities and relationship building amongst industry thought leaders.

On February 2nd, 2011 the conference will have the unique opportunity to tour the San Diego Supercomputer Center. This tour will cover the new supercomputer SDSC constructed, as well as the rest of their amazing facility. The supercomputing done at the center aids researchers and scientists with their complex computing which leads to new ground breaking discoveries. SDSC also houses the Protein Data Bank, a global resource of protein information accessed 20,000 times per day, with the ultimate goal of creating new revolutionary medication.
